I kneel in despair. My face is gray like a ghost. But my mother is behind me with a Jewish menorah and I feel the influence of Norwegian painter Victor Sparre telling to continue to work, saying: "Paint and you will live." (See Sparres work in my Hall of Fame section)

The man is me praying in despair. The anxiety is looking up at me from the ground while my mother holding a Jewish menorah (my mother was half Jewish), is watching over me. In the upper left corner we see the Norwegian artist Victor Sparre (see David's Hall of fame), influencing me to continue with my art. The olive tree to the right symbolizes my Getsamanie.
