Forbidden Canyon Forbidden Canyon

Original ink on acid free paper
Year: 2001
Owned by: Helgesen family, Moss, Norway

"Forbidden Canyon" is the name of a real place in southern Utah, USA. The picture talks about the self-destructive impulses associated with depression.

Confusion With The Landscape Confusion With The Landscape

Original ink on acid free paper
Year: 2001
Owned by: Personal collection

This picture is also inspired by Southern Utah; an area I love and have visited several times. I love this picture which speaks for itself: All the small and large rocks, spread throughout the barren landscape, representing the confusion life can bring. However, the solid rock rising against the sky symbolizes the perpetuating stability of life (with or without us).

Vid Fagerfjell Vid Fagerfjell

Original ink on acid free paper
Year: 2002
Size: A4, but cut along the edges
Owned by: Fredrikstad, Norway

This was done up at my in-laws cabin at Fagerfjell, Norway. The view is from their deck overlooking a lake. I began sketching it there, but finished it at home.
