Inspirational places: Alby, Norway

This photo is taken at Alby near Moss, Norway, where I often go for walks, explore, meditate, and in the summer swim. Many of my seascape paintings and drawings have been inspired from here.

The ferry in the background cross the fjord from Moss to Horten every half hour or so.

I didn't add the photos of these trees for their brilliant photographs, but to convey my study of these tree trunks which I find facinating and often incorporate into my paintings. These trees living near the beach, are short and sturdy and have taken more than a lifetime of severe winds.
