Intrigued with black and white photography (such as Carpa, Lange, and Adams), and having made black-and-white drawings for as long as I can remember, it felt natural to make some black and white paintings as well, and making these was extremely rewarding. Made on a special pine paper, given to me by an artist in Kornsjø on the Swedish border. In order to make it work (as they are quite large), I simply nailed them to the wall in my studio and worked on them simultaniously. In some ways, I think this series turned out more naturalistic than my other work...In all I compleated six. Four of them shown here.
